Well, its finally time to start my new series! Whoo Hoo! First on the list: Face scrub. Particularly THIS face scrub. For all of you CvS junkies out there like me, you remember these puppies from a few weeks ago. It was fabulous that we got them for free but, um, I know that I won’t be able to use all of this, especially since its not really supposed to be a twice-a-day face cleaner like the actual Garnier face cleaner they sell. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE garnier products now….I have come to love all of the face and hair products and when they are free or close to it, I love the price. But when I saw that I had 3 of these plus the one that I already have open, I knew I had to put the thinking cap on.
Here’s what I realized: It can be used on other parts of the body! Now don’t get too cheeky(heh cheeky) but remember that your whole body is covered with skin and it needs some pampering every once in a while too! I have been doing a full body scrub for about 3 weeks now, once and week, and I feel quite a softness on my skin. Hubby has too and have commented…..repeatedly. It really does make a difference.
Lazy mom tip: use this on your legs BEFORE you shave. No matter what (free) razor you use, your legs will be silky smooth when you finish. The scrub removes the dead skin, which allows the razor to reach more of the hair. If you don’t have any (free) scrub, a loofah will work in a pinch.
Lazy mom tip 2: Give your tootsies and hands a little TLC. If you’re as frugal as me, you like to find your own ways of pampering yourself. I give myself pedicures every 2 weeks. During my last pedicure, I used a bit of the scrub and it worked even better than a pumice stone! And it felt fabulous. Once a week, give your hands the same treatment. We frugal-but-fabulous lovelies work our hands to the bone clipping coupons, making scratch meals, and organizing our stockpiles. We gotta take good care of them!
Next week: those dang hot dogs…..

Hmm.. I wish I thought about using it as a bodyscrub too. I tried on my face and it was too harsh so I gave it all away. Maybe there will be another sale?…
Great review! Thank Amiyrah!
Great idea!! My skin needs all the help it can get, what with being outside with the horses and the other aspects of farming. Thanks for the info!!
Great idea that I wouldn’t have thought of! My feet could definitely use it.
