Type A Parent Conference is only days away and it’s time to get serious. It’s time to make a hit list. No, not the kind you may be thinking of. It’s time to start thinking about the bloggers I absolutely must meet while in Charlotte, NC this weekend. Let’s be truthful: there are about 30 or so bloggers that I really want to meet and interact with while there. Whether it’s because I admire their writing skills, the look and feel of their blog, or their hilarious tweets and Facebook updates, I have a long list of girl crushes amongst the TypeACon guest list. For this particular list, I put bloggers that have lots of
stalkers fans like me, and probably won’t be too freaked out that I’m making it a mission to talk with them. So, here it goes:
1. Jen from Jael Designs and O from The Brand Theorem
Yes, I’m aware that I have 2 bloggers listed at once. There’s a reason for that! These two sisters rock my world with their blogs. Also, O’s Newbie To Do List has really helped me put my mind into conference mode, and not forget some of the most important things i’ll need.
Jen’s absolutely poignant and funny video about how bloggers should get sponsors made me a big fan of hers right away. She’s also a great site designer(it shows on her own site) and I’d love to talk to her about how she started her business.
2. Amy from Resourceful Mommy
What can I say about the “Oprah of Twitter parties.” Whether she knows it or not, Amy is the reason I’m going to TypeACon free of charge this year. Somehow I stumbled onto Amy’s twitter account and got hooked on her twitter parties, as well as her blog posts. Now, I’m a full on party junkie and may have found my passion as a social media event planner. I never thought I would be interested in going back to working as an event planner, but Amy shows me that it can be such a great career, just like planning parties offline. I’d at least like to meet her just to say thank you.
3. CecilyK from UpperCase Woman
I’m quite sure Cecily may think i’m a crazy person. I spend way too much time on her blog, admiring her writing that seems to reach parts of my heart I never knew were there. I also catch myself nodding my head in agreement with most of her posts over at Babble. Plus, her tweets either wax poetic or make me laugh hysterically. So, I tend to reply to her tweets/posts/life whenever I can. Which is all the time. I just want to meet her so she can see that I’m not a 68 year old balding pedophile. And that yes, I am crazy, but not certifiable.
4. Danyelle from The Cubicle Chick
What’s not to love about Danyelle? She’s speaks the truth in her posts (which is a breath of fresh air ), she’s pleasant, helpful, and an incredible business woman. All of her time in that cubicle before she left it to be a full time blogger must have made a big difference in her work ethic. She impresses me with her dedication to highlighting the great things her hometown, St. Louis, has to offer. This is something that I would love to do on my blog for the Central NJ area, so I hope to pick her brain on how I should get started. I love chatting with her on twitter and think that chatting in real life will be a treat as well.
5. Robyn from Robyn’s Online World
Robyn is the ultimate social media darling. Every time I pop over to her blog, i’m learning something new, whether it’s about a new twitter party, a great recipe, or just about life in general. She’s also very approachable on twitter, even though she has an ample amount of followers. This is VERY hard to find in big bloggers as of late. She’s also full of all types of information on how to take your blogging to the next level. Plus, she vlogs! Since I’m still new to YouTube and vlogging, I hope to have a conversation with her about newbie do’s and don’ts.
6. Shell from Things I Can’t Say
Shell holds a special place in my heart. Her weekly link up, Pour Your Heart Out, gives me the opportunity to write about whatever may be giving me angst, joy, or unsettlement at the moment, and shows me other bloggers who are going through it that week as well. Most recently, PYHO helped me talk about my grandfather’s passing. Because I decided to share, and hurt and link up with PYHO by sharing that piece, I was much better off during the funeral. Shell has a way of making you feel that way with her own posts. She’s an amazing writer and a phenomenal mother. I can’t wait to meet her.
7. Adrianna from Military Money Chica
I think I want to meet Adrianna purely for selfish reasons: she’s an Air Force wife( Aim High!), she has fantastic posts about saving money, and I find myself loving each and every one of them. We have so much in common so we just have to meet! We could sit and talk personal finance and marriage, but I’d really just like to know how she makes time to do all that she does.
8. Dagmar from Dagmar’s Momsense
Dagmar is the go-to guru for anything Green, Frugal, and Natural. I’ve loved her site for quite a while, since she also showcases interesting places and events in our try-state area. It will be really exciting to meet her in person and gloat on her a bit!
9. Tanis from Attack of the Redneck Mommy
I mean, who DOESN’T want to meet Tanis in person? She’s hilarious, a wonderful mother, a brilliant writer and has a big heart. Plus, she’s Canadian. I heart Canadians. I was introduced to her writing by Mary Mac at Bloggy Conference last year, and I haven’t missed a post since. P.S.- have you heard about the GoonSpoon? It’s all the rage right now at her house…
10. Tonia from The Chatty Momma
I became a fan of Tonia through twitter; I was mesmerized by the shear amount of events and fun outings she gets to experience as a super cool mega blogger. Then I found out that she was a vlogger, as well. A few hours later, I’d seen all of her videos (she filmed herself riding around on heelys, people!) and I was her new super fan. I sometimes have difficulty connecting with Review bloggers, but not when it comes to Tonia. Plus, she seems like a pleasure to hang out with and know. You gotta love a blogger who actually has a blog that emulates their real personality!
Bonus Blogger: Kelby from Type A Parent
Of course I had to have Kelby on the list! She’s the head honcho of this here conference, and even if it’s just for a few moments, I’d love to shake her hand, give her a smile and say thank you for creating such a great experience for us. That’s the least I can do.
I’m linking up with Many Little Blessings today for Top Ten Tuesday!
