There’s a pretty good chance that you know a Super Mom. A woman that tries to get it all done, look good while doing it, and still have time to offer you some help. She’s funny, sweet, and a blessing. She excels in her professional and personal life. And even though you may not think so, someone may be viewing you as that Super Mom.
While life may seem like it’s full of times that frazzle you, prioritizing what’s important is the way to Keep Calm and Carry On. Erica and Tina of the group Mary Mary are Super Moms to me. As they start the second season of their Reality show, we find Erica as a new mom for the 3rd time and Tina pregnant with her fourth child. The ladies are fighting to prioritize time for their family, their music careers and for each other. I am taken back to season one, where we got to see a true sibling relationship on-screen, and learning how these sisters were able to love each other, as well as work harmoniously. They are super stars who have a delicate balance to life. But they do it and do it well. This is how I know I have to continue to prioritize my own busy life.
While I may not be on a press release tour, I’m still going, moving, and working. I’m also on a mission to create a loving and supportive home for my Husband, children, and myself. It’s a balance that I continue to re-evaluate, reform, and mold. Whether it’s turning down a writing job to spend more time in the PTO, or cutting down my yoga time to add a few more minutes to date night, everything is changeable. As long as I know this is possible, I’m able to live in the moment and be a success, just like Erica and Tina.
I’d love to hear how you are handling your priorities. Have you been having trouble deciding what’s important? Are the holidays hindering or helping you prioritize?
It’s situations like these that the three-time Grammy® award-winning gospel duo Erica and Tina Campbell face in Season 2 of WE tv’s hit series Mary Mary as they balance being recording artists, mothers, and wives. MARY MARY premieres Thursday, December 6 at 10|9c and moves to its regular timeslot on Thursdays at 9|8c, beginning December 13. Watch a sneak peek here!
