Today is the first day of the 2013 Type A Parent Conference. This is hands down, my favorite conference. It doesn’t matter how “big” you are, how “small” you are or even how fashionable you may be, everyone is welcome. It’s an event where a blogger can learn an ample amount of information, and actually have built-in game plans to accomplish them once they leave a conference. I love this community because they not only set you up for success, but will check on your progress during the year via twitter and facebook groups. This will be me second Type A conference (not counting Type A Philly advanced), and I’m speaking! This is the conference where I have no qualms about wearing a t-shirt and funky shoes, but since I have to talk to people in a session, I decided to dress for the occasion.
This mustard colored sweater was a mall find 2 years ago. It’s very lightweight but comfortable and warm! Warmth is key at conferences.
The pants are from Uniqlo and were on sale for 9.90. I ended up getting 3 different pair since the price was right. The yellow polka dot pants were featured in my embellished flats post, and I’ll share the other pair in a future outfit.
The boots were a thrift store find! They were only 8 bucks at Plato’s Closet. They are Mossimo by Target and are extremely comfortable. I even wore them on the plane here.
The accessories are both from eBay. I love this owl necklace with all my heart, plus it was only 1.00. The claw bracelet is pretty dang heavy but it was a steal at 3.00.
This is about as dressed up as I’ll get at Type A Parent Conference this year. Ok, that’s a lie. I’ll be dressed up tomorrow too, but that’s it. I’m rocking t-shirts at the parties. Should I show you guys my t-shirt collection in the next post? I think yes.
