DIY Cookie Making Kit – A Fun Gift

Cookies make everything better, especially the holidays. My kids always have memories of making cookies in our home, and with my in-laws on Christmas Eve. Even my 5 year old talks ALL YEAR about our Christmas cookie fun we have in the month of December.

This year, we wanted to celebrate our favorite neighbors by making a fun DIY Cookie Making Kit to drop off on their doorstep. We grabbed a few bags of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix, some other fun items for our baskets, and got busy!

Cut-out sugar cookies are a family favorite, and they are perfect for neighbor gifts.

The kids always have a blast reading the instructions on the back of the Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix, while we mix the ingredients together.

As they’ve gotten older, it’s be so much easier to have them take care of this part. They almost know the instructions by heart!

Their favorite part is using the cookie cutters, of course. From bells to trees and gingerbread men, they use them all.

After we bake them, we always glaze and cover them with TONS of sprinkles. Lots. Oodles.

Once the cookies are completely dry, we packaged them up and put them in our DIY Cookie Making Kit. We included the fun cookies we made, a giant cookie cutter, an apron, a kitchen towel and a package of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix.

We also labeled it using these fun holiday printables that we found on the Betty Crocker website. Such a fun way to spread cheer!
