I’m sharing #SoMuchMore in my life as part of a JOHNSON’S® + Save the Children Partnership sponsored series for Socialstars™.
Time flies so fast. What’s worse, is that if hits lightening speed when you have children. It was just yesterday that we had a brand new 3rd baby in our home. He was quiet, sweet, and just wanted to snuggle with his parents. He was teeny-tiny. Now, 15 months later, he’s loud, happy and animated. Walking around the house (walking!), grabbing anything he can get his hands on, and pushing everyone to “go-go” with his demands. He’s healthy, he’s alive and he’s ours. That makes the memories we have of him, up to this point, so much more magical.
One thing I constantly think about when I play with our little munchkin, are the little ones out there that are in need. So many children on the world are suffering, whether they aren’t getting enough to eat, are without a stable place to sleep, or clothes for their backs. While we’re reminiscing over what our babies did 6 months ago via #ThrowbackThursday, kids in need are thinking about what they’ll have to endure tomorrow. It makes you feel so blessed to be in the space that you are in. It also reminds you that you have the power to donate, even if it’s through a picture shared on social media.
Every day, millions of babies may miss opportunities critical to growth and development due to poverty, lack of early stimulation, poor health/nutrition, and lack of early education.
Through its programs, Save the Children provides support to 300,000 U.S children in need, and JOHNSON’S® shares in this mission to make a positive impact on baby’s cognitive, social, and emotional development.
To demonstrate their mutual commitment, JOHNSON’S® and Save the Children are bringing awareness to the importance of early childhood development (ECD) programs, so that every child can reach their full potential.
Watch JOHNSON’S® YouTube video to hear more about Save the Children’s early childhood development programs and the families who are benefitting from them. Help us share the stories of families whose lives were changed forever when their children were given an equal start in life.
Johnson’s believes every child deserves a fair shot at a vibrant future. So this holiday season, if you select Save the Children® through the Donate a Photo app, JOHNSON’S® will triple its donation in support of early childhood education programs. This campaign ends 12/19, so please donate as many photos as you can!
