There’s nothing like a day at the movies. The family and I spent an early Saturday afternoon, enjoying Disney’s Zootopia with friends. We ventured to the Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime in Paramus, NJ, and the experience we had was phenomenal!
Let’s start off by saying that Zootopia was one of the most thought-provoking, enlightening and entertaining movies that Walt Disney Animation Studios has released in a long time. The kids enjoyed it just as much as my husband and I did. But, we can neglect the theater experience we had. The theater room at the Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime as spacious, and gorgeous. I remember quietly saying “wow” when entering, because the set-up of the rows of recliner chairs was so pleasing to the eye.
We actually ended up having to watch from the very first row of the theater. In a regular room, this would be a fate worse than death. But, because the Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime theaters have special recliner seats, and very large, wide screens, we were able to comfortably view the movie (without attaining cricks in our necks). I had sprained my neck a few days before, and was delighted at how comfortable I felt in those seats. I even felt rested AFTER the movie!
Speaking of seats, did you know that at a Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime theater, the seats vibrate with the movie? With every fun, action-packed scene in Zootopia, we felt like we were along for the ride. There’s one special scene (no spoilers), where Judy Hopps finds herself in Rodentia. That scene made it really fun to be sitting in these special recliner seats. You’ll see what I’m talking about once you watch at your local AMC Prime theater.
Our family really enjoyed watching Zootopia at AMC Garden State 16, and the Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime. We’ve already decided that we need to go back again.
