This room is my other least favorite to clean during spring cleaning. Mostly because I have to trade out everyone’s winter clothes for spring/summer ones and that one task used to take most of the day when I would spring clean the whole house in a weekend. So glad that i’m breaking it up into 7 days. Here is my plan for the bedroom:
Day 1: Laundry(we keep our hampers in our bedrooms, so I need to have the winter clothes clean so I can put them away)
Day 2: clean and organize closet(includes switching the spring and fall clothes)
Day 3: Dust and clean wall corners, furniture and headboard
Day 4: Clean windows and wash or dust curtains
Day 5: Replace bed clothes
Day 6: sweep, mop and wax(for hardwood floors) or vacuum(for carpeted floors) the bedroom. Make sure to put down some baking soda on the carpet and let sit for a bit to get up that dirt and smell from the winter.
Day 7: Touch up your walls with a bit of paint. Scuffs or marks on a wall will make it look dingy, so if you can get a bit of paint and touch those up, your room will look spring ready right away!
Reminder: If you have the time, you can take care of these in a day, no problem. If you want to take your time, you can do a few a day. And if you are total stressed for time or extemely lazy(I have both problems) you can do it day by day like I do. The choice is up to you, grasshopper!
