Stockpile Double Agent series- hot dogs

Sharing is caring!

Now, if you are one of the many couponers that cashed in on the numerous sales on hot dogs this summer, you are in the predicament I am in: lots of packs of hot dogs but not a lot of summer left to grill them. Now, besides having a hot dog ho-down at your house and inviting 50 to 100 people, there seems to be only a handful of other things you can do with them. Sonny Boy likes to try to stick them in his ears but if you aren’t a 3-year-old, that might not be for you. Well, to help out my fellow hounds, I created 2 recipes that should help dwindle the hot dog population in your freezer and they should also come in handy during the fall and winter, when you want a hearty meal without paying so much for beef.

The first recipe I created is called Poor Mom’s “keilbasa” and egg noodles. Carrot or zucchini ribbons(see recipe) makes this dish over the top.
The second recipe was a twist on the classic red beans and rice. It was heavenly and even my “meat is kryptonite” toddler loved it…..he even ate 2(toddler size) bowls of it!
