Well, I finally did my totals for the month! After yesterday’s trips, I knew it would be higher, but I hoped it would still be under our 270.00 monthly budget. And we actually made it! For newbies and lurkers, I shop for a family of 3 plus a kitty baby. My hubby is a Paul Bunyan wannabe and my boy is a constantly growing and eating 3-year-old.

So, we ended up being 20 dollars under budget this month, so I can take that and get another gift card from the grocery store. Like I mentioned when we talked about Christmas in July, I have been getting grocery store gift cards whenever I have money left from being under budget. I actually decided that I will be using them in January for groceries, instead of using them for my holiday baking. There are some great sales coming up so I may not have to use them for their original purpose! Who knows, maybe I’ll even start doing some giveaways on here from the money I have leftover in the budget. I’m already putting aside my grocery savings, so it may be time to share the wealth.
What do you all think?
