Continuing my extreme couponing adventures! Toothpaste, anyone? I think this is a bit ridiculous and will be making goody bags for New Year’s Eve that contain some of these, but *ahem* I do love my toothpaste stockpile! We do love the crest pro-health products, though.
And, like I promised, here are all my stockpiled rice sides! These are time savers when I don’t have time to put on a pot of brown or white rice. They are all packed together, so it’s a bit hard to see how many. Can you guess? *drumroll* The total is…..18! Just a modest 18. Since I gave 4 away already, I think this is a nice number.
And for good measure, here is my yeast packet stockpile. A total of 14 3-packs! Sad part is that all of these will be used up WAY before their 1 year (or more) expiration date. With me making all of our breads and pizza doughs, we tend to go through quite a bit of yeast. I’m just so glad that I’ve been getting these for so cheap!
I envy your yeast stockpile! Happy Holidays to you!
Wow, that is a lotta yeast! Good thing you love cooking so much. 🙂 I bought some yeast ages ago and never got around to using it. Do you store yeast in the pantry or should it be refrigerated? They always seem to have it refrigerated in the store, but it doesn’t say anything on the package so I wasn’t sure the best way to keep it fresh.
frugal,
the packets aren’t stored in the fridge section at my store. They keep them right by the canned tomatoes. But, when I open a pack and don’t use the whole thing, I put the rest in the fridge. Since I go through a lot of it, I don’t worry about it being in the pantry. I guess if you don’t use it much and you want it to last, you would put it in the fridge.
For those looking for inexpensive yeast, I suggest Sam’s Club. We got 2 lbs for under $5!!!! Happy Holidays
