Here are my totals for November! Whoo Hoo! I did the one of the best months i’ve ever done, which probably means December will be a high grocery month . That’s ok….i’m still loving how well I did for now. Also, thanks to frugalsuz’s inspiration, I tracked all of the rebates I received(not sent out) in the month of November, including WAGs rebates from october deals and CVS’s Extra care bucks(they are instant rebates, ya know). For those that don’t know, I shop for Hubby(eats 2 servings worth of everything), Sonny boy(3 year old), our kitty and lil old me. I include all food items, toiletries, household items, cat items and baby items in my budget. We have a set budget of 270 for each month.
Total items purchased: 342
Total coupons used: 230
Total of transactions before coupons: 922.42
Total of transactions after coupons: 208.15
Total Savings: 714.27 or 78%
Number of free items: 154
Total amount received from rebates: 303.88
total of organic items before coupons: 4.99
total of organic items after coupons: 3.69
total savings: 1.30 or 26%
re-usable bag credits for the month: 1.19
Although I paid 208.15 out of pocket, I got back 303.88 in rebate money. I’m ahead 95.73! That is just amazing to me. Seeing the rebate amount increase throughout the month gave me motivation to hound as much as I could, because that was more money in our pockets. Gotta love it!
