Good Bye Bank of America

Sharing is caring!

Well, old friend, it was fun while it lasted. Spending all kinds of “money” with you, putting that vacation on your credit limit, and even those cute pair of shoes I ended up giving away. *sigh* We sure had some good times.

I know you’re hurt that I’m giving you up. I had to. You were holding me down and well, I just had to pay you off and let you go. I felt like I was giving more than I needed to, and, well, I was right. Your interest rate was killing me!

Please don’t be mad. Maybe one day soon we’ll meet up again. Those perfect pair of shoes, a new sofa for the living room, or even a quick trip to the grocery store. Ok, I’m lying. Those things will never happen again. We just need a clean break.

I don’t know how to tell you this, but the last check to you went through. We’re officially over. I’m sure you’ll find another girl who will appreciate you. She’ll use you to the limit and you’ll be so happy together.

I sure will miss you, but nowadays, cash is king in my house. Don’t be jealous; he’s just a bit more accessible and forgiving.

Take care and be well…

Now to start my “Dear John” letter to Discover Card…

Love it, Amiyrah! While we still have a bit more to go before I can bid farewell to the credit card folks, I am SO looking forward to sending Ford Credit an “It was real, and it was fun, but it wasn’t ever REAL FUN!” letter in about 5 months when we pay off DH’s truck! Congrats!

I love this! Do you mind if I forward this to my Dad to use in his Dave Ramsey class? I think he would like to read this to everyone. If not, that is totally cool too 🙂
