There are a few things that point out the return of spring: new flower buds popping out of the ground, baby birds chirping in the trees, and even a quick bought of hay fever. But, for me, the return of spring is recognized by one simple thing….the cadbury egg commercial.
You know the one; they have different animals with bunny ears on a stage, trying to cluck like chickens(my favorite is the lion). It’s preposterous, it’s silly, it’s cute,(it’s not on you tube, dang it!) and it’s the start of my spring fever.
Just like the M&Ms commercial with Santa(He does exist! They do exist!) gets me all riled up for Christmas, this commercial gets the blood flowing for Spring/Easter.
I had a wicked case of “the mondays” today. Just seeing that commercial for the first time this year, immediately took me out of it. I’m ready for spring!
There is one more thing that gets me going…..peeps. But, that’s more of an easter “thang.”

Although, I don’t think you would eat either of them. Cadbury eggs are lovely chocolates shaped like eggs with a creamy center that is white and yellow(like an egg and yolk). If you’ve been to WAGs or CVS in the past few weeks, you’ve seen peeps, but probably didn’t even notice. They are marshmallows in the shape of little birdies or bunnies. They are covered in pink, yellow or purple sugar. I eat myself sick every easter with these, but I never let sonny boy have any lol.
Lisa, I hate to admit it, but I don’t have a favorite! This may take a while…
I always laugh thinking of this one time I was shopping with my mom. We were looking at the Easter candy and I spotted a package of peeps with Winnie the Pooh stickers on them. “Look ma – poops!” LOL

Ohhh, I love those cadbury eggs! I could eat my weight in them. 😉
I think I like that commercial more than the Cadbury Eggs – you can’t help but smile (and laugh) when you see it!
We love peeps at our house too!
I walked down to CVS and got one package of Peeps and one eggs. You were right, I didn’t like them. Must be one of the things you have to grow up with.
