I decided to get the meters at CVS, even though we definitely won’t use them here. I had been struggling with the idea of getting them all week, but once I verified that my local fire station could use them, I decided to go out and see if there were any left. Those were the only two left at my store.
The ketchup, country crock, and miracle whip we actually need in the house. I HATE miracle whip but Hubby HATES actual mayo even more, so I caved. I was going to make mayo again(it’s really easy) but he even objected to that, and he loved it last time. I bit the bullet and got a small bottle to use in my deviled eggs today. Little does he know, I’m going to half the mayo in the recipe and use greek yogurt for the other half. Ha Ha!
I stocked up on eggs because I needed some for deviled eggs today and we always use lots of eggs in this house. After I took that picture, I immediately took a dozen of those eggs and boiled them. I might boil another dozen on monday, since hard boiled eggs are a breakfast staple here when it starts to get hot and oatmeal won’t cut it. Plus, Hubby likes tuna nicoise salads for lunch in the spring and summer, so pairing them with the free tuna I got last week will give him a different lunch for the next few weeks.
The Kashi coupon I got in the mail earlier this week. The kraft singles coupon I won last week in a giveaway. The chinet deal was found on Hot coupon world and I’m so glad they posted it! When I got to the store, they still had the plates marked as 3.99 but I knew better. 3 of those 4 free packs will be given to the family member that hosts the memorial day cook-out this year, along with a bottle of BBQ sauce and mustard.
The day old bread I couldn’t pass up. The rolls will be used for grilled cheese next week and the italian bread will be used for pizza tomorrow. Now I don’t have to make dough!
