Pillsbury Giveaway!

December 8, 2009 by Amiyrah 72 Comments

If you read my blog regularly, and take a peek at our meal plans for each week, you know that we love to have breakfast for dinner every once in a while. It’s fun, it’s fast and it’s cheap. Perfect for a frugal mama like me.

Well, recently, MyBlogSpark asked me to try out the new Pillsbury Honey butter biscuits that have been released. I figured, why not? We love Pillsbury products here, and when I don’t feel like making homemade biscuits, their biscuits do just fine for our meals.

Let me say, I LOVED the biscuits! I have a thing for honey, and when we have it in the house, I do spread it on my biscuits. These had a great hint of honey and the usual Pillsbury biscuit buttery taste. Yum Yum Yum.

So, Thanks to MyBlogSpark and Pillsbury, I have a wonderful prize pack to give away today! It includes coupons for FREE Pillsbury biscuits, an adorable butter dish (they sent me one too!) and butter knife. How sweet is that?

To Enter: Tell me what your favorite breakfast item is. Are you a die-hard cereal fan? Do eggs over easy float your boat? I’m curious to see what you all say!

This giveaway will be open until Friday, December 11th, until 8pmEST. The winner will be picked at random on random.org and announced Saturday morning. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A GOOGLE ACCOUNT, PLEASE LEAVE ME YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS! All entries that do not have an e-mail address listed(that aren’t part of google or blogger) will be deleted. I need to be able to get in touch with you if you win, darlings.

Good Luck to you all and happy eating!

MMM we are breakfast people around here I love it. most days it is quick and easy but every weekend we try very hard to sit down on Saturday or Sunday all together to a big breakfast. usually it is french toast prepared by the hubs:) we like it on Cracker Barrel sourdough bread or Chullah bread.

My Mothers day breakfast is always Chocolate Gravy and biscuits with fruit also prepared by the hubs.YUM

Normally, cereal is what we have, but I love egg in a bread. (butter both sides of the bread, use a glass to punch out a circle in the middle of the bread, crack an egg in the middle of the circle and fry. YUMMY!)

I waited tables in a restaurant years ago that had the absolute BEST french toast- they used slices of real French bread dipped in the traditional egg and milk batter and they topped off the golden, delicious dish with powdered sugar mixed with cinnamon…I used to dribble a little maple syrup on top, too! YUM! (I always rewarded myself after working the killer Sunday morning breakfast shift by getting an order of that calorie laden goodness!) 🙂

(Organic) brown rice, a tad of tamari and two sunny-side up free range eggs, mahalo! (The yolks are Halloween orange).

Yep, go ahead and say it, Amiyrah, I’m weird. (Um, just ‘cuz it’s different doesn’t mean it’s wrong) And here’s my BOGO free offer for you, Amiyrah–‘cuz *Chuckle* then that means I win, right?

If I go the Seinfeld route, I grab some Cascadian Farms (organic) raisin bran. I then add one small (organic) banana and (organic) ray-suns from Grocery Boy’s 75 bulk bins at the store. No matter what, there are NEVER enough ray-suns in ANY brand of raisin bran, I tell ya!

I then always add Organic Valley 1% milk because Horizon sends out silly letters with only one (1) 55-cent coupon enclosed! And that one measly coupon? You can only receive one once a year per household–due to “limited supply”. Yeah, way to endear yourself to this groceryhoundmama, Horizon organic milk…

I think you have my email address, Amiyrah, but if not, here ya go: sonnyboysunofficialaunt (at) hotmail (dot) com. (Hooty hoo, Sonny Boy! I see you, I see you!)

No doubt about it, sometimes me cracks myself up…

Well, my mama just asked me this very question. She told me I had to hurry up and answer so she could include it on your blog. I said: “Breakfast burritos, but that’s not my favorite!” When she stood there all impatient because it wasn’t my actual #1 favorite, I pondered quite a bit more.

(Why some moms are impatient, I’ll never know. You’d think my baby blues & mile-long eyelashes would be sufficient, but apparently not)

I just don’t get why she ran from the room as soon as I finally revealed my favorite breakfast item. *Chuckle* Why would anyone be scared of my answer?–“human brains” That’s my final answer and I’m stickin’ to it!

(Small print follows: no actual human brains have ever been eaten by me or anyone else in my family for breakfast…)

Sure hope I win! grocerybulkguy (at) hotmail (dot) com.
