My poor little boy is going into surgery on Friday, so my goal this week is to make as many yummy items that he loves since he’ll be on a restricted diet for about 7 days. Let’s see what kind of things I can come up with!
Monday: Sweet and sour chicken with green peas and rice
Tuesday: lasagna roll ups with side salad
Wednesday: Macaroni and cheese with fresh tomatoes tossed in vinegrette
Thursday: kiddo’s choice! I’ll see what he wants mama to make him for his “good luck meal”
Friday to Sunday: Mom and Dad will have leftovers and kiddo will be on a special diet
Dessert of the week: Chocolate shortbread cookies
Homemade baby food of the week: Sweet potato puree
Oooooh Poor Guy! When I was his age, I was in the hospital and I got no special treatment. In fact, our grandparents didn’t want my sister to feel left out, so they got us both nightgowns and coloring books. I couldn’t wear the nightgown and had eye patches so I couldn’t use the coloring book…. No special meals either!
I would suggest he gets as many pancakes as he wants too!
Aww, good luck to him!
Love making the baby food. My little girl now does not want anything not homemade though. I have gotten free samples of baby food and the only brand that she’ll even eat is Sprout and I think it is cause it is most like homemade.
Your menu should make him very happy!
I will be thinking of him on Friday and praying that all goes well.
Will have you and sonny boy in my thoughts. You certainly will need to give him lots of TLC!!! Happy New Year
lol Alex! You poor girl…I bet you and your sister can laugh at that story now…right? lol
Thanks to all for the well wishes. He’ll be OK…he’s getting his tonsils AND adenoids out and has no idea what’s in store for him, so I’m gonna fawn over him all week lol. Keep those fingers crossed for us!
Oh! Jessie, check the cinnamon rolls comments; I put down a quick icing recipe for you in the comments.
