It amazes me how intelligent kids are these days. Knowing what a tablet is and how to operate it, wanting more from their time in school, and even developing their own food tastes and sense of style. Smart kids are taking over the world.
The husband and I figured this was the case with our own kiddos, so their Christmas gifts this year reflected how advanced they are. They each got a tablet (a leappad for the Duchess) and like the good Mom I am, I made sure to set them up before Christmas. While my kids are smart, they aren’t very patient. Once they received their gifts from Mom and Dad, they were gone from the world. Apps, games and learning lessons were abound, and they were so delighted. The rest of the family, and Santa, knew exactly what to get them in terms of their sense of style and interests. Sonny received a science kit from Santa/Grandma and Duchess received some costume jewelry and a full tea table set. They also received money, which they were excited about. They love putting money into savings, just like Mom!
Up next, learning how to download items to the tablets. We’ve already showed Sonny how to connect to the wifi, and I’m pretty sure within the next week, he’ll ask about downloading more apps. Before I know it, he’ll be 17 and driving next. Time goes by so fast!
This week Kevin Hart talks about his kids and how fast they are growing up.
