Ebay has easily become my favorite place to find trendy yet fashionable pieces that I would love to add to my wardrobe. I can find them at a deeply discounted price, and once the trend is over, I won’t feel badly about spending a few dollars on the items. Case in point, today’s awesome outfit.
I’ve enjoyed seeing tulle skirts enter the fashion scene (and pinterest pins). I’ve always wanted a tutu when I was little, and now that I’m older, I don’t think that would be appropriate to wear in public, unless it was Halloween or I lived in New York City. This skirt was purchased on eBay for only 8 dollars. It has an elastic top, which means it’s very comfortable and that you can easily place a belt over it. I chose not to mostly because it looked like a bit much. Less is more, my friends.
The bauble necklace is also from eBay. I purchased this months ago for only 3 dollars. I’d seen these beautiful necklaces in all of the magazines (and pinterest…ahem) and really wanted to give this trend a try. I wear this piece at least twice a week. It livens up any outfit, and even makes a tee look classy.
Speaking of t-shirts, this Beatles shirt was purchased at a flea market in NYC for 4 dollars. It was such a great find; the deal was 5 for 20 dollars, so I got 2 tees(this one and another one with a picture of John Lennon) and my husband got 3 shirts.
The shoes are an old favorite that I’ve had for 7 years. Yup, 7 years. They are a classic black strappy heel and I’ve worn these to Vegas, clubbing in Atlantic City, and to numerous weddings. They are the best dancing shoes I’ve ever had, and what better shoe to pair with a tulle shirt? This outfit was made for dancing and having all kinds of fun!
What do you think of the tulle skirt trend?
Oh, I love the outfit. The skirt is great!
I’ve always love tulle too. It’s adorable on you!
Cute outfit!!
“unless it was Halloween or I lived in New York City” LOL! I think tulle is very pretty, but it has to be subtle – and you do it very well!
I love it! It is the perfect blend of elegance and pop culture! You look stunning!
Love your skirt! Etsy is my personal weakness. I’ve never shopped on ebay before.
Love this outfit and your photos – stunning! Love the tulle skirt and would have not thought to pair it with that shirt – looks fabulous!
You are ADORABLE! I love the juxtaposition of the logo tee and the tulle skirt. ADORBS!
Love that skirt. It is so versatile.
I think this is a great outfit! I love dressing up a casual t-shirt and tulle is the perfect way to do that!
If you write a post mentioning the Beatles, I’m your gal! Such a great outfit! I need to check out Ebay; I never think of going there.
As usual you look gorgeous! I love those shoes. When you buy good things, they last forever and are worth the upkeep to keep them.
I love the skirt, but the shoes are my fav part of the outfit! No wonder you’ve kept them in action for so long.
If I didn’t love you so much I’d hate you a little bit for being so darling. xoxo
LOVE! I really need to get on the ebay train. Everybody always talks about the great deals.
I can’t believe those shoes are 7 years old. They are very pretty and look great!
Love this look! So girly and fun! I love tulle skirts! I have quite a few but haven’t quite pulled them out and mixed them into the rotation yet! Love yours! You look gorgeous!

This is absolutely adorable. I was on pinterest today pinning onto my pretty clothes board thinking I need to move into the city so I can wear some of this stuff. I don’t buy it unless its something classic that I can have in my closet in five years and still wear it. I love the photos in this post by the way. Did someone take them or did you?
I’ve never ventured onto Ebay but maybe now I might since I need to focus on paying down my debt.
Thanks Arelis! I took all the pictures myself :). Ebay is my very favorite place to find trends and even classic pieces for less. I plan on doing a tutorial on how to get the best deals soon.
Super cute!!! I LOVE this outfit and you are rocking it girl 🙂
Thank you Tara!
