Snake Skin is the Trend

Sharing is caring!

With fashion week in full swing, I can’t help but pay attention to the fashion trends that are being shown in all of the street style pictures. The snake skin trend is running circles in my head, mostly because I scored a great deal on a coral snake skin bag a few weeks ago. Here is a set of fun and fabulous pieces with a snake skin accent, and every item is under 50 dollars.

Pleated printed dress from MANGO

I love how the print on this classically shaped dress varies and becomes more dramatic on the bottom. It would be a splurge for me at 5o dollars, but it’s a great piece that I could wear year round. Paid with some dark tights, knee high boots and a leather jacket in the winter, for a really edgy look.

Snake Skin flats

I love both pair of the flats featured, but the mint flat from Target really call to me. The color and the slipper design are chic and slick. Oh, and they’re only 9.99 right now! These can be paired with a monochromatic outfit and the snake skin foulard featured from Mango. The pop of coral in the scarf will play well with the mint in the shoes.

Accessorize

When I think of snake skin, I immediately associate it with silver. So, when I spotted this black and gold cuff from New Look, I just had to add it to the set. At 11 dollars, it’s the perfect price for a trendy accessory that could be used through many seasons.

Clutch your skin

A envelope clutch in a snake skin print can take you through fall, winter and even spring. I loved this 25 dollar clutch from New Look. The geometric gold details makes it a fun and funky bag that can be used in a dressed up or dress down ensemble.

Make your nails slither

When it comes to nail strips, I’m still a novice. I’ve tried too many times to get them to place correctly onto my nails. I finally realized that all I need is one accent nail and I’m good to go. I love the print on Sally Hansen’s “brattlesnake” strips; it gives you just enough edge without going overboard. The price is right as well; for 8.99 you can represent the trend right on your nails and not have to fully invest in a piece of clothing.

Will you give into the snake skin trend this fall?

I’m not a huge fan of snakeskin, but your choice of items may have just persuaded me otherwise. I am especially crushing on the snakeskin mani!

That mani is perfect nod to the trend, right? It’s fun and not too flashy.
