I think I may have a new love for the spring and summer. After some intense online shopping over the past month, I’ve found myself purchasing a plethora of maxi skirts. Maybe it was the pregnancy brain, or maybe I just never appreciated the appeal of them, but maxi skirts have quickly become my new fashion obsession. With family functions, graduation parties, and many social media conferences on my plate for the next few months, I needed to update my wardrobe, but without breaking the bank. These skirts are instantly updating my options for the warmer months.
This lightweight chiffon skirt has a lovely pattern and a great pop of hot pink to help bring in the new spring season. I actually purchased this skirt one size bigger, so my belly can grow into it over the summer. Also, by ordering a maxi skirt a size bigger, you’ll be able to wear in like an empire waist, and cinch it with a fashionable belt. My thought is that I’ll wear it just like I’m sporting it above, but I’ll have a pregnant belly underneath that belt.
I paired it with my brown belt to give a little pop of interest, and help the black of the skirt stand out. I just love pairing black and brown together. I threw on my hot pink sandals, but would love to wear this with the stripy black and gold shoes from this past fashion post. The tank top is from Waltmart and cost me under 4 dollars. Wondering where I purchased the skirt? It’s a $14 eBay find. I’ve been finding gems on eBay for almost 2 years. I’ll do a tutorial very soon on how to shop for quality items on eBay, including jewelry.
Maxi skirts madness has hit all over the internet. Here are a few skirts I’d love to add to my wardrobe as well. Bonus: they are all under $25.
Color Block Bohemian Chiffon Skirt ($12.65)
Solid Color Bow Tie Skirt ($10.54)
Mint green ruffle chiffon skirt (22.90)
Coral stripe maxi skirt (24.99)
Are you obsessing over maxi skirts for spring and summer? Which one of these did you love the most?

You look gorgeous (and so happy) in your photo! I’m obsessed with that mint green maxi!
Thanks Bailey! I love that mint green maxi as well, and I need to add it to my wardrobe.
I gave maxi skirts a try for first time last year. Thought I was too short, but I love them! Comfy and cute.
STUNNING, absolutely beautiful, you are gorgeous and look incredible in maxi’s-totally inspiring me to get my maxi dresses out, thanks for linking up to #fashionfriday. Be great if you could link back!

OMG, this look is gorgeous! Love that skirt!
Thank you, Kristin! I’m going to wear the heck out it this summer 🙂 .
I’ve been so intrigued by maxis but have yet to buy one. I need to try them out. I love the coral and tie ones. Awesome!
I saw you pin the Solid skirt with bow on Pinterest and I went to check it out. My mouth dropped open when I saw the price! I need to shop with you! FOR REAL! I also love the idea of wearing the maxi skirt to let your belly grow into it. It helps on cutting the cost down on Maternity clothes, which can be expensive. You look so CUTE! And CONGRATULATIONS on the baby!
Thanks Arelis! Yup, those prices are amazing. I love to shop at SammyDress and other sites like it when it comes to trendy items that I want to try out. I can’t see spending 50 bucks on ANY trend, even maxi skirts.
Great post, your my kind of shopper!! Found your post while searching for the maxi skirt in your photos, by any chance do you remember the vendor on ebay who had them? I have been searching high and low for this skirt for about a month now and cannot find it! I have seen it twice after I get out of work and can’t catch up to the ladies wearing it! Thank you I would appreciate any help! 🙂
Ebay won’t let me see pictures of my past purchases, but I think the seller was this person: http://www.ebay.com/usr/vivicastle?_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2754. Unfortunately, I don’t see the skirt available on their page right now, but you can always watch them to see if they add any more.
Thank you I really apreciate the help, I’ll check them out they have a bunch of cute skirts for really good prices. BTW I have been enjoying going through your pasts posts! 🙂
