As you read this post, I’ll be maxing and relaxing in Rogers, Arkansas for the 2nd annual Social Fabric Conference, or SoFabCon. Within the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Collective Bias and becoming a member of the Social Fabric community. Just a few months ago, I was given the honor of being one of the first SoFab Champions, along with Sarah Vargas of Ravings by Rae, so we will be attending SoFabCon to chat about that position with other community members. It’s so exciting to be able to attend this social media conference, meet with online friends and colleagues, and learn a plethora of valuable knowledge. It’ll also be awesome to dress up in a mask for the masquerade ball, and shake my bump-thang while doing the SoFabCon dance.
With all that said, the biggest honor will be presenting on Friday afternoon during the Pinterest session. My co-presenter, Kim Vij of The Educator’s Spin on It is the über-expert when it comes to Pinterest (over a million followers!) and I’ve been soaking up all of her valuable tips for myself. She’s also been quizzing me on how I’ve used my small but mighty Pinterest community to boost my traffic and increase my consultant work exponentially. We’re both looking forward to sharing as much as we can muster in 45 minutes. The expert and the consultant. It’ll be a fantastic session.
If you are a blogger, social media enthusiast, or brand representative, and you see me waddling around or dancing in the hallways, please stop me to say hello and receive a handshake and/or hug. Wishing you all, attendees or those watching the event unfold at home, a SoFabulous weekend.
Disclosure: As a speaker and SoFab Champion, my registration, travel and lodging has been compensated by Collective Bias/Social Fabric. All opinions and excitement in this post are my own.
