I am a Jenkinson’s Ambassador. All experiences are my own.
Exactly 2 weeks ago, the kiddos and I treated my Aunt and my little cousin to a full day at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. This summer mainstay located in Point Pleasant, NJ is full of fun family activities, while being located right on the beach for water babies like me. I was so excited to be selected as a Jenkinson’s Ambassador, and couldn’t wait to take family members with me on my adventures. Tuesdays at Jenkinson’s are wristband days, and we were able to have such a great time for a low price. As a frugal blogger, you know how I feel about inexpensive family fun!
I think there’s nothing better than an aquarium right near the ocean. We all had our favorite animals within the Jenkinson’s aquarium, but everyone in the family agreed that the penguins were the most adorable. We’d just gotten to them when they were done swimming, so they were all clean and playful. The kids were able to see sharks, seals, geckos, frogs and even snakes throughout the aquarium. We could have stayed for hours but knew that we had so many other things to see.
Thanks to wristband days at Jenkinson’s, we were able to have unlimited rides in the amusement park section of the boardwalk until 6pm. The amusement park rides opened at noon, so we made sure to make it to the gates for first dibs on our favorite rides. My 3 year old daughter and 2 year old cousin immediately ran to the boat ride. Even though my son is 9, he was more than happy to accompany the little ones on the ride. He got his share of excitement later in the day when riding the Tornado roller coaster. He even rode it 3 times. That says a lot for a kid that would rather build a roller coaster than ride one.
If you purchase a wristband, Jenkinson’s also offers a special meal deal just for you. Meals and snacks can really add up when you take a trip to the Jersey Shore, but Jenkinson’s had a great offer for guests with Tuesday wristbands. The Boardwalk Bar & Grill has delicious selections, and of course, famous Boardwalk pizza.
We had an amazing time during our mid-week boardwalk adventure, and we can’t wait to go back soon. Besides, I need another funnel cake fix. It’s my Jersey Shore must-have!
Have you ever been to New Jersey’s Jenkinson’s Boardwalk? What places in your area are your summer mainstays and must-visits during the warmer months?
Jenk’s is great during the week. Our family prefers Brick Beach to Point Beach, less people.
Thanks for that tip! We are new to Jenkinson’s, so we’ll have to check out the Brick Beach area.
