Fall Trend: Dark Florals

Sharing is caring!

This fall, dark florals will be a hot trend. Here are a few selections that won't break the bank.

Fall fashion trends have always been my favorite each and every year. The weather turns cooler, and we see what fashion designers will have in store for us. But there are those trends that just seem a bit too extreme, even for a millennial mom like me. Over the next few weeks, I’ll highlight the trends that won’t make you cringe and may actually inspire you to try something new this season. The kicker: each piece will be within your budget. Here are some tips on how to wear the dark florals trend.

Stick with a Close-Knit Pattern

Dark florals can be quite beautiful on just about any woman, but we have to keep in mind that the floral pattern should flow on the piece you rock. By keeping the floral pattern neat and tight you’ll ensure that it won’t bombard the rest of your outfit. A great dark floral piece mixed with a bit of a watercolor theme would look great on almost any silhouette.

Mix Brights and Darks

Embracing the dark florals means that we’ll have the liberty to highlight a bright color in our ensembles. If your piece of fashion has some specs of tangerine, bring that out in your jewelry, bag or even your shoes.

This fall, dark florals will be a hot trend. Here are a few selections that won't break the bank.

Dark Floral Shirt – on sale for $16.62 from SheInside
Boyfriend Jeans (similar here and here) – $13 to $15
Gold watch (similar) – $19.99
Gold necklace – $19.99 from Mod Cloth
Bucket crossbody bag – $32.99 from 6pm.com
Converse sneakers – $34.99 from Target

Make it Work for Everyday

I love a trend that I can wear while running errands or spending time with the family on the weekends. Dark florals are easy to dress down; pair a top with your favorite boyfriend jeans, a coordinating cross body bag, subtle but fun accessories and the flats of your choice. I love to wear sneaker slip-ons just about any time, and they work well with this simple yet chic outfit.

Do you plan to try out the dark florals trend this season?

I’m not into florals, I know I’m boring, but I think it’s about time to give them a try. I keep seeing them everywhere and the outfit you’re showing is on point with what I would wear. Thanks for sharing! By the way, I found you on Sits.

Hi Eva! Thanks for stopping by. Dark florals are a good way to introduce yourself to the whole floral thing, especially if you don’t like florals.
