There's so much to do at Liberty Science Center! Learn for yourself by entering to win 4 passes to visit.

There are a few things that come with being born in Northern New Jersey. You have the ability to taste a good slice of pizza and differentiate it from another, you know which mall is closest to your house, and one of your rites of passage is a school trip to Liberty Science Center. While science is not my favorite subject, I’ve always loved visiting the Liberty Science Center. The IMAX movies, interesting exhibits and seasonal shows and interactive experiences ensure that all guests will have a different experience every time they visit. Our family has fallen so much in love with Liberty Science Center, that we now budget in a yearly membership at the start of the new year.

Recently, we were invited to Liberty Science Center for a complimentary day of play. The kids, including my husband, were so excited about attending. Since the Center is still a new experience for them, they were eager to get there and view just about everything. I was excited to see what new exhibits were open. One exhibit I was extremely excited about viewing was Beyond Rubik’s Cube. It is the world’s first museum exhibit about the ever famous Rubik’s Cube. As an 80s baby, I could help but be filled with joy about exploring everything within this experience.

The family really enjoyed the Cube Lab, and the fact that their creations could make music delighted our melodious brood. My 4 year old duchess got a kick out of the classic Rubik’s Cube and we spent a decent amount of time trying to get her favorite color, yellow, all on one side. I think I gave up way before she did.

We also had the opportunity to attend The Tesla Lightening Show, which included singing Tesla coils, robotic drums and pure awesomeness. The 1 million volt coils produced musical lightening as the audience rocked out to the beats. You HAVE TO see this show. It was amazing.

We truly enjoyed ourselves at Liberty Science Center, and now we’d love to have your family experience the fun! Thanks to Jersey Moms Blog and Liberty Science Center, we have 4 passes to give away here on 4 Hats and Frugal. Would you like to win? Enter through the rafflecopter below. We’ll announce the winner via email and on the 4 Hats and Frugal Facebook page on August 18th.

Good Luck and get your learn on!

Mine is an old favorite–the baking soda, vinegar and red food coloring volcano.

My favorite science experiment was going to a local museum and see them crack a rubber ball into pieces after it was put in dry ice. That was a fun class trip!

I did a weird science fair project that was all about tasting stuff and guessing what it was. We used PEANUT BUTTER! GASP! So not 2000s-friendly!

I can’t say that I had a favorite science experiment from school; I can’t even remember any of them! I really need to visit Liberty Science Center to learn more about science. 🙂

We did a really cool experiment with the stem of a flower in food coloring and the flower changed colors. It was pretty cool!
