Yes, people. The holidays are coming. so we need to get with it! I admit that I really love this time of year, and I don’t really mind seeing the holiday decor and gifts in stores around October. It reminds me about our family game plan of getting ahead of the game when it comes to holiday shopping. Each year, our family works on attaining gifts, at a great price, to get a jump on the holidays.
This year, with a newborn who loves to snuggle, and two kids that appreciate a mom who isn’t frazzled over buying gifts, I’m taking on challenge of being proactive seriously. With the current CVS/pharmacy gift card promotion, I can shop for household essentials on my list, while earning gift cards that I can use for stocking stuffers. We have a few family members that would love to have a gift card for Macy’s or iTunes in their stocking.

Our plan is to check out a few of the CVS stores in our neighborhood for the select items that are part of the promotion, and use the gift cards as a thank you gift for our daughter’s preschool teacher, our mail carrier, and others. The items that we buy from CVS will be wrapped up for Christmas gifts, as well. We’ll have most of our list done within a few days. When we say we want to get a jump on the holidays, we really mean it!
Don’t forget to stop by the Extra Care coupon center when you visit the store! You have to love that CVS/pharmacy creates coupons and special offers that work just for you. I can even conveniently store email offers and savings from cvs.com, myWeekly ad, and the CVS mobile app on my ExtraCare card. They make it so easy to save.

Yes Barb! I love that they are affordable, so we have the option of buying them now if we want. It’s so great to get a few names crossed off the list as early as possible.
Never thought about CVS for the holidays until I went to this week’s MomMixer event! They sure have wonderful items, like that great remote control helicopter for my husband. Nice!
I saw that too, Gina! My husband and son love remote control cars and helicopters, so they JUST may get that for the holidays. Don’t tell! lol
I agree with Gina. I never thought about CVS for the holidays until I went to the MomMixer event last weekend! The CVS truffles and dark chocolate bars were divine.
Their edible items are so good! The CVS Abound line is too good. I log that I could put together a holiday basket of delicacies from there, pop in a gift card, and I’ll have an awesome gift to give to a family member.

Yes! I was so excited to see that Macy’s was included, as well as the CVS gift card. Both of those will be great gifts to give a few family members this year.
I love CVS. I plan to go there and get some gift cards for the Holidays.
