As we slide into the last days of our challenge, now is the time to take the focus off of ourselves. Yes, this seems like the total opposite of what we’ve been doing all along, focusing on changing our own mindset and creating new routines that include daily affirmations said to ourselves. We’ve put in the work when it comes to changing the way we operate, but what about those around us?
The best part of a journey isn’t the journey itself. Also, the best part of the blessing isn’t the actual blessing. That seems strange to say, but it’s very true. The best part of either of those things is the testimony. The telling of the story behind the journey. The reliving of your life before the blessing. Those talks are what change lives. The testimony is what affects the masses.
Sharing testimony is something that I have struggled with most of my life. While I loved to take on a challenge, and celebrate my accomplishments, I never liked to share them with friends and family. I always thought that seemed like bragging. My accomplishments were for me, not for them. What if they thought negatively of me because I attained something that they couldn’t? When we first got out of debt, I never told a soul. I thought it was because I was embarrassed by the debt, but it the real reason was because I accomplished something so great in such a small amount of time, and I didn’t want to make others feel bad about not doing the same. What a bad decision.
The testimony isn’t about you. You are sharing your journey because it will help others, not you. You’ve already accomplished something awesome, and there are people out there that need to hear about it. The same goes for this challenge. For the past 28 days, you’ve done something you never thought you could. You completely changed the way you think about money, funds, and finances. You prepared yourself for your next financial windfall, and all the windfalls that will come after. You know that money doesn’t rule you, and that money actually NEEDS you. You need to be proud of yourself, and you need to share your story.
Here is your affirmation for today:
My financial testimony is powerful. It’s so powerful, that I will share it as much as I can.
Can you guess what today’s task is? Yes, share that testimony. Tell someone about the challenge you are about to finish. Explain to them why you started this challenge. Share how you’ve changed your actions and thoughts towards your finances over the past 28 days. Share how you feel today, compared to how you felt on day 1. Testify.
