As an online content creator (ahem blogger), I’ve been blessed to cross paths with some truly amazing people. I’ve also been blessed to call some of them my friends. Better yet, some of them are my unicorns. Brandi Riley is one of those mythical creatures.
Now I don’t feel at all bad about calling my flesh and bone friend a mythical creature. We met online, where you never know if someone is actually the person in their profile picture, or a guy living in Idaho named Larry. It’s a crapshoot. But, Brandi is as mythical as you can get. She’s inspiring like a muse, as awesome as a giant, and as beautiful as a unicorn. True story: the first time I met Brandi in person was in Philadelphia for Type A Advanced conference. We were both in an elevator, I turned around and said “Oh, hey Brandi.” Like we had been friends for years. What Brandi didn’t know is that after I said hello, I turned back around and mouthed “OH MY GOD, IT’S BRANDI!” I was intimidated, but in a good way. She’s an intelligent woman, and I always loved the way she carried and conducted herself online. She was truthful but diplomatic. I liked her right away.
So, when Shari’s Berries offered to send a blogger friend of mine a treat for Mother’s Day, I had to send them to Brandi. Over the past few years, she has changed my life. When you’re everyone’s cheerleader, and you find someone who ends up being YOUR cheerleader, you cherish them everyday. You add them to your prayer list. You offer them encouragement every second you can. You celebrate them. And that’s just want I wanted to do. I wanted to celebrate our friendship.
My dearest Brandi, I hope you have an amazing Mother’s Day, and that you continue to be blessed throughout this next year. Know that you are appreciated and loved, and this Jersey girl is one of your biggest fans. Thank you for being my friend. I love you, girl!
Both pictures were stolen borrowed from Brandi, because…this was supposed to be a surprise! Can’t ruin the surprise by asking to steal borrow pictures, right?
You have no idea how much this means to me! It is my pleasure to be your cheerleader and your FRIEND! Thank you so much, Amiyrah!!! ♡♡♡♡♡
Love you so much, Brandi!
This is so amazing! I love your post! Happy Mother’s Day to both you and Brandi!
Thank you, Kristin! I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day.
