This easy and quick weeknight meal using Johnsonville® products is sponsored post on for Socialstars. #SausageFamily
Fall is the perfect time to make simple dinners for the family. I find myself always falling back onto our tried-and-true, easy meals once the weather gets crisp, and school is back in session. I also call it a bonus if you can use a delicious short-cut to help you get a hearty meal on the table. These mini meatball panini sandwiches using Johnsonville® Classic Italian Style Meatballs are a new family favorite, and they take less than 20 minutes to make.
We love the flavor explosion that Johnsonville Classic Italian Style Meatballs pack a ton of flavor. A lively blend of basil, garlic, and Italian-style spices are combined with only premium cuts of pork to create a tender oven-baked Johnsonville® Classic Style Meatball!
These mini meatball panini sandwiches can be assembled by little fingers, so the kids will love that they can help make dinner with mom and dad. The adults would slice the ingredients, kids can make the sandwiches, and then parental units can do that whole panini thing with a panini press, or on a stovetop with a grill pan.
Just look at these beauties. This recipe makes a bunch of sandwiches, so they would be great for nights when the whole soccer team comes by, or when your kids are super hungry after tae kwon do class. Serve with a hot bowl of tomato soup or warm marinara sauce. They are both perfect for a fantastic panini dunking experience.
Mini Meatball Panini Sandwiches
Ingredients:
14 Johnsonville® Classic Italian Meatballs (half a bag)
2 loaves french baguettes, cut into 42 slices
2 blocks mozzarella or provolone cheese, cut into 42 thin slices
Instructions:
Slice thawed Italian meatballs into thirds. Set aside.
Take a slice of baguette, top with slice of cheese, 2 slices of meatball, and another slice of cheese. Top with another baguette slice. Repeat until all sandwiches are prepped.
Once sandwiches are prepped, warm up panini press or grill pan on medium heat. Place panini sandwiches, 4 at a time, on press or gill pan. If using a grill pan, be sure to place a heavy pan on the sandwiches to press them down. Let cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Repeat with the rest of the sandwiches.
Eat immediately and enjoy!
