Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It represents re-birth, new life, and a time to spend with family. I love planning a big meals for Easter brunch and dinner, and of course, getting the kids their own Easter baskets. Every year, I try to plan cool, new baskets for them. Something themed, something customized, something amazing. Like good little children, they love the effort. But like great children, they get the most excited about the chocolate.
Easter Traditions The Easy Way
So, this year, I’m thinking differently. If they want chocolate, Mama’s gonna give them the best there is! Gertrude Hawk has always been one of my favorite signature chocolates to give as gifts, or just have on hand as a special treat for company. To my delight, I’ve recently been alerted to Gertrude Hawk’s Lil’ Easter Totes. These adorable little buggers are chock full of solid chocolate favorites, and there’s no need to add anything to them. They are the perfect Easter treat! The 9.99 price tag makes me very happy, too. They also offer 3 different versions: Chick, Frog, and Bunny. I have 3 very different kiddos who need Easter baskets. I like how this is working out.
Can we also talk about the Gertrude Hawk Smidgens? I actually remember splurging on these one Easter, when we were just a family of 3 on a very strict budget. I felt we needed something special for the holiday, and bought the solid milk chocolate version. With one bite, I was in chocolate nirvana. I tried my hardest to make that little box last as long as possible, but I may not have succeeded in that mission. Ahem.
During Easter, Gertrude Hawk offers a great deal on their Smidgens — buy 2 get 1 free! Each box is 2.5 pounds of deliciousness, and they offer them in Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter, Milk Chocolate Caramel, Solid Milk Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate Raspberry.
The Gertrude Hawk Smidgens and the Lil Easter Totes are available in their retail stores, as well as online! I already made my life easier by ordering our treats online. P.S. – I totally told my girl that the Lil Bunny Easter Tote is for her baby brother, and I just needed her to “model” it for me so my readers could see. Kids are so trusting. *Snort*
