Oh goodness me. The things that happen to me as a blogger are almost unbelievable. I’m pretty sure “The Forrest Gump of Blogging” might be my new title for 2015 and 2016. You’ve followed along with me during other Disney events, but this one is almost too much. Next week, I will be attending Disney•Pixar’s Finding Dory premiere in Los Angeles!
Yes, you read that right. I, along with 24 other bloggers, will be attending the red carpet and the after-party! That’s not all. We get to interview the stars of Disney•Pixar’s Finding Dory (Ellen DeGeneres, Ed O’Neill, Kaitlin Olson, Eugene Levy, Albert Brooks, and Hayden Rolence). Yes, we get to interview Ellen. Ellen, y’all. This is how I envision our first interaction playing out:
Me: Oh, hey Ellen DeGeneres.
Ellen: Oh, hey…what’s your name?
Me: Amiyrah.
Ellen: Cool name! It sounds like a dancer’s name. Do you like to dance?
Me: I can dance like nobody’s business. I also love blazers.
Ellen: Dude, me too. Let’s do the running man.
Me: OK, let’s.
Seems plausible, right? That reminds me. I need to pack my blazer. We haven’t seen Dory, Marlin and Nemo in 13 years, so watching this film, and interviewing the cast, will be somewhat historical. I can’t wait.
More Disney Fun
Oh, you know there will be more to experience during this 3 day whirlwind event. We will also get a sneak peek screening of the upcoming Disney XD series “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures” and a Q&A session with series Executive Producers Bill Motz & Bob Roth (“Penguins of Madagascar”).
Star Wars. Now you KNOW I’m excited about anything Star Wars.
Introducing new heroes and villains to the LEGO Star Wars universe, the animated television series “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures” will premiere Monday, June 20th (10:00 a.m. EDT), on Disney XD. Set between the events of “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi,” the action comedy series follows the Freemakers, a family of sibling scavengers who operate a salvage and repair shop in space. The series will also feature familiar characters and locations from the filmed Star Wars saga. I love that that it’s a family of scavengers, after our introduction to Rey in STAR WARS: The Force Awakens. This is going to be a fun series!
We also get to join Disney Channel for an advance screening of the new live-action comedy “Bizaardvark,” starring Olivia Rodrigo and Madison Hu as video blogging besties Paige and Frankie. The series follows Paige and Frankie who write funny songs and create music comedy videos for their online channel, “Bizaardvark.”
The series will premiere Friday, June 24th, on Disney Channel and also stars Vine sensation Jake Paul as Dirk, DeVore Ledridge as Amelia, and Ethan Wacker as 12-year-old agent Bernie. After the screening, we’ll tour the “Bizaardvark” sets, meet the cast and view the production of an upcoming episode!
So much to experience, so little time! I’ll be sure to share all the fun on our social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Periscope, and Snapchat) under the hashtag #FindingDoryEvent, so make sure you’re following!
