Update: Jake Paul was release from the Bizaardvark cast in July of 2017. Maxwell Simkins and Elie Samouhi joined the cast in May of 2018.
During our Disney press event, we were able to get a behind the scenes look at the new show, Bizaardvark. In my last post about this fun, new show, I shared some cool things we experienced during our tour. Now, let’s learn more about the Bizaardvark cast.
In this article, we’re sharing some fun facts the cast told us during an exclusive interview. Madison Hu (Frankie Wong), Olivia Rodrigo (Paige Olvera), DeVore Ledridge (Amelia Duckworth), former castmate Jake Paul (Dirk Mann) and Ethan Wacker (Bernie Schotz) chatted with us. Here are a few interesting things that they shared:
YouTube Asperations
Ethan started his own channel just recently, thanks to advice from former castmate Jake. He made sure to ask Jake about tips and tricks, then implements at home. “It’s great to come to work, and then go home and edit.”
Devore had a different experience with her channel. “Before the show, I had (a YouTube channel) and I would do hair and makeup. I realized how embarrassing it was [laughter].”
There Are Singers In the Bizaardvark Cast
Olivia and Madison are both piano players, and they both sing. Madison announced that Olivia is the better singer, while the rest of the cast mentioned how she’s always singing in the hallways of the set. Olivia admitted that her favorite artist right now is Lorde.
Are You Like Your Character?
Jake sounded off by saying that he is very much like his character. “So, I make videos, and that’s how I got started in this whole thing, and this essentially what Dirk is doing on the show.” Ethan’s response was great: “I think I am more athletic than Bernie, but we are both optimists.”
Why You Should Watch Bizaardvark
Olivia and Madison share the reasons why our families should tune in. Olivia proclaims “It’s social media oriented, which is really cool since it’s a big part of today’s world. Also, we go on such crazy adventures. You wouldn’t want to miss it”. They both said that the Bizaardvark shows kids that they can follow their dreams, and that “you don’t have to be on a TV show or go on Broadway to express yourself.”
