I’m going to share a secret with you: I don’t like grilling. I mean, if I HAD to, I would do it. But, I have a husband that likes to grill, so I let him take over that part of cooking. But, while I don’t like to grill, I do love grilled foods. There’s something about a grilled burger or sausage that makes my heart sing.

When Johnsonville sent us the Johnsonville Sizzling Sausage Grill I was all “we’re never using that thing.” It’s a unitasker, which I stay away from, and if I want to grill a sausage, I’ll have the husband do it. Can you see the egg on my face from where you are? Because, the sausage grill is BAE.
Here’s the thing: this sausage grill is easy to use, and it’s like the best kind of batch cooking you could do. Also, it was the smart way to make Johnsonville sausage on a 95 degree rainy day. No one needed to stand out in the rain to cook, or turn on the stove or oven. It was lovely.
The quick start guide was easy to read, and it had our family eating Johnsonville mild Italian sausage for lunch in about 8 minutes.
Look at beautiful it is! So sleek.
I love that it can cook a whole pack of Johnsonville brats in one session. This is key for batch cooking when you’re a busy family, because you can cook a few packs in less than 30 minutes, and place the cooked sausage in the fridge for future weeknight meals.
It beeps 4 times when the sausages are done. This was so helpful with a toddler running around. No need to keep an eye on the stove.
Viola. Savory sausage.
I decided to slice one Italian sausage link, and place it over sliced tomato and a bed of greens. If I was feeling really saucy, I would have topped it with shaved parmesan, but I was too hungry, so I didn’t.
Oh, Johnsonville Sizzling Sausage Grill. You got me. Looks like we’ll be keeping you.
I was all about getting one until I saw the price. Way too expensive for someone on minimum wage?
It’s definitely a “gift” purchase. Add it to your holiday list! 😀
I am on fixed income and yes it looks wonderful but too expensive darn…..
