This is a sponsored post for which I have received compensation, but the opinions are 100% my own. #Smilehood
Am I the only mom that gets stuck when it comes to stocking stuffers? I’m a BOSS at the big gifts, but stocking stuffers for toddlers or even older kids get me all flustered. I don’t want to spend a million dollars, but I don’t want everything to be from the dollar store. It’s tough!
But, I wised up and asked my friends on Facebook for help, and I think we now have some great options for stocking stuffers for toddlers. Better yet, great options for our toddler. He’s very selective, even when it comes to gifts. Ha!
Stickers
This may be a disaster for your kiddo’s bedpost and walls, but toddlers and preschoolers love stickers. Our kid is all about a good sticker, and I don’t know how I forgot that. At the doctor’s office, stickers get him to stop crying. They need a place in his stocking.
An Orange
Have you ever given an orange in a stocking? It’s a longtime Christmas tradition, and it’s perfect for toddlers. The little mandarin oranges are the best size for little hands, and it’s a snack you won’t feel guilty giving them.
Foam Blocks
Have you seen these?! OK, this was a dollar store find that I grabbed during back-to-school season, but they tend to be available in the stationary/school section of the store. Why do I love these? Because they are big enough to not be a chocking hazard, but small enough for little hands to stack. Plus, foam anything is so great for toddlers who like to throw things. My toddlers love to throw things. At walls. He’s fun.
Books
We always get our kids “something to read” during the holiday season, and if that little book can fit in a stocking, put it in there! Thomas The Train is our book of choice for this year, since he has a train theme going with his other gifts. Don’t forget about books!
Dental Hygiene Helpers
This is the only thing that never stumps me during stocking stuffer time. Every kid always gets a new toothbrush, toothpaste and other dental hygiene items. This year, we’re giving the toddler a new flavor of Orajel Tooth and Gum Cleanser, and a toothbrushing timer.
I’m pretty sure this is why my kids are so adamant about their dental routine. They always get excited about getting a new toothbrush, and this will be something that our toddler will love as well. It’s so important to take care of our little one’s teeth during the holiday season when they’re eating ALL THE SUGARY THINGS, so placing dental themed gifts in their stocking helps to show them how important, and fun, toothbrushing can be.
