Fashion brings my heart joy, and accessories are the path that brings that joy straight to me. An outfit isn’t complete without the right pieces, and being a frugal fashionista, I’m all about affordable accessories. There are 5 places where I find my absolute favorite accessories, and I think it’s time I share those secret spots with my friends here on the internet.
5 Best Places To Find Affordable Accessories
Charming Charlie
Listen. If you haven’t heard of Charming Charlie yet, we need to have a long talk. Charming Charlie’s is ALL about accessories and awesome things (their mugs give me life). Some of their necklaces can be a little pricey, but they do have sales, and they also have a rewards program that I take full advantage of. Be sure to save any coupons they give you when you visit, and bring them with you the next time they have a sale. That’s how I get lots of accessories for less.
Target
Here’s the real secret to getting great accessories for cheap at Target: the Target app. You need to stalk the heck out of that app for special savings on scarves, necklaces, earrings, and (my favorite) shoes. Most novice deal seekers will wait until the end of a season to stock up on accessories, but the real deal MVPs know to check the Target app every week for amazing sales. Check the app, people.
Plato’s Closet and Buffalo Exchange
Everyone tells you how amazing accessories are at thrift stores. They’re right to a certain extent; you can find some pretty cool vintage items there. But, if you want to take advantage of trendy and fun accessories, without spending a ridiculous amount of money, you have to hit up re-sale stores like Plato’s Closet and Buffalo Exchange. Plato’s Closet is my fave, mostly because I’ve never been to a Buffalo Exchange. These re-sale stores focus on clothing and accessories for teens and college-aged kids, so you’ll find hot items you see in magazines for a better price. I have pieces of jewelry, and belts, that ladies have stopped me to ask about. All of those items were purchased at Plato’s Closet. Here’s the fun part: if you ever decide that they accessory isn’t for you anymore, YOU CAN SELL IT BACK TO THEM. Mind. Blown.
eBay
Ebay used to be my jam of all jams when it came to finding the funkiest accessories ever. Jewelry found on eBay ended being my favorite statement pieces, and with a little bit of a search, I always found one-of-a-kind items. If you plan to shop on eBay for accessories, give yourself a budget for each piece you want. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself in a bidding war, and that “affordable accessory” will end up costing you a pretty penny.
Amazon
Just imagine: you have 3 days until a really important gala. You want a necklace or bracelet that will go with the dress you found in your closet, so you can fancy up your ensemble. You won’t have time to go to the store, but you need this necklace to arrive in time for you to try it on with the dress, and figure out all the other accessories. Then, you remember: Amazon Prime. Even if you don’t need accessories in a hurry, Amazon is FILLED with items that are under 5 dollars and fabulous. I also love to shop Amazon for larger costume jewelry that other stores seem to mark up because of the size. This necklace has me all in my feelings about it not being in my home yet. It’s time I went ahead and ordered it.
Bonus: Walmart
OK. I have to give Walmart their props. I recently went through their accessory area, and found some absolutely amazing necklaces for less than 10 dollars. Rose gold, bauble style, all kinds of fun accessories. I was shocked! The next time you find yourself at The Mart, hit up that accessory section.

I like Forever21. Their accessories are very reasonably priced. And I like any “teenybopper” stores to me they tend to have the cutest accessories in 🙂
