Why LEGO is the perfect holiday gift

There are traditions that every family has during the holidays. Baking cookies, decorating the house, building LEGO sets. Oh wait, is that just our family?

Every year, we all proclaim LEGO as the perfect holiday gift, especially since each of our kids get a set to on their own or together.

The real fun is the fact that my husband and I also love to get in on the LEGO fun. We both grew up playing with LEGO sets, so it feels so natural to sit down with our kids and build with them.

Each year, we find a LEGO set that fits the current loves of our kids. Harry Potter LEGO sets are always on the list. Star Wars LEGO sets are an obvious Martin family favorite. We just can’t get enough LEGO!

This is also a holiday gift we suggest to other families, if they are looking for something that everyone can enjoy together, and bring joy throughout the rest of the year. One of the best family activities, whether the weather is warm or cold, is a good old LEGO building session.

To make our holiday shopping even easier this year, all of our favorite LEGO sets are now available at Target! When I heard about this, I squealed. As busy mom, I love when I can stop at one of my favorite stores, and get everything I need for the holidays. Yes, that includes gifts for the kids.

If you’re looking for LEGO set recommendations, our girl and I had a blast building the LEGO Harry Potter Quidditch™ Match set. She mostly took charge, and I was directed to “grab that piece, Mom.” It was perfection.

Of course we all loved the LEGO Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Resistance Y-Wing Starfighter set, and it brought the teen down from his lair to build with us. I love that LEGO sets are still something he loves to do with us. See? LEGO sets really are for everyone.

Be sure to check out Target to stock up on LEGO sets this holiday season. I plan to grab another LEGO Harry Potter The Knight Bus™ at Target, and give it to a special family member this year. We’ll be building this LEGO set this weekend, and I can’t wait to spend even more time with my family doing something we all love.
