There are quite a few thing you can substitute in this cookie recipe. While the butter and sugars cannot be replaced, you can easily switch out the chocolate chip flavors. Caramel or peanut butter chips would be divine in this recipe.

Valentine’s M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup Valentine’s M&M milk chocolate candies
- 1/2 cup Valentine’s sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- In a stand mixer, beat together the butter and sugars until fully combined and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, then add vanilla extract.
- Gradually beat in the dry ingredients, until combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and M&M candies.
- Using a medium ice cream scooper, scoop dough onto parchment paper.
- Bake in oven until lightly golden brown, around 10 to 12 minutes.
- Remove from oven and cool completely, preferably on a wire rack.
