It’s cookie season. Yup, you better believe it.
I have an obsession with cookies, so when it starts to turn cold, I get so excited to pull out my cookie sheets, my recipes and go to town. I’ve gone a little crazy over making holiday treats before, so the fact that i’m eagar to bake goodies the whole month of November shouldn’t be surprised.
I’m also not a cookie snob. As much as I love my homemade cookies, I don’t turn my nose up at cookies mixes. In fact, by adding some extras into the mixes, like vanilla extract, sour cream or cream cheese, makes them all the better.
So when MyBlogSpark and Betty Crocker asked me to try out the new molasses cookie mix, I was all for it. I make my version of gingerbread cookies every year for Christmas, so I was interested to see how their mix version of molasses cookies would turn out. Like I do with all cookie mixes, I did add in 1/4 cup sour cream to the mix and a bit of vanilla extract. They turned out fantastically. The product creates an insane amount of cookies, which isn’t a problem here, unless we are out of milk. I wish I would have counted the amount made, but we scarfed them down pretty quickly. The good news is, you can try them yourself!
Betty Crocker is offering a coupon off their new Molasses cookie mix. If you were planning on baking for the holidays, why not add this to your list of goodies and get it at a discount?
