When it comes to quick holiday treats, this 3 minute fudge recipe beats them all.
I know there are a ton of 5 minute fudge recipes out there, but when you can shave off 2 minutes and create this 3 ingredient, no bake fudge, you have to claim this recipe as the best of the best.
Using store bought frosting, chocolate chips and the optional ingredient of walnuts (or pecans) makes this 3 minute fudge super easy.
The fact that you only need a big bowl, foil, and a microwave makes this a great beginner recipe for novice cooks and even your kids. Yes, this is microwave fudge. That takes this easy chocolate fudge recipe to the next level.
I love that this recipe creates a smoother type fudge, not that grainy stuff that I keep encountering at the bakeries and confectionaries around here.
I mean, grainy can be good, but I like my chocolate to be smooth as silk, even when it comes to fudge. 3 minute fudge accomplishes that feat. I heart it so. Enough is enough. Let’s get to work!
How To Make Easy Chocolate Fudge
12 ounce bag of chocolate chips (milk chocolate, semi-sweet or even dark chocolate)
16 ounce container of chocolate frosting
1 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)
Cooking spray
Line an 8×8 pan with foil, and spray lightly with cooking spray.
Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds on high. Stir. If the chocolate isn’t melted all the way, microwave for 15 second intervals, stirring each time, until most of the chocolate is melted.
Pour in the frosting and the nuts (optional) and stir for about 1 minute or until fully incorporated.
Place the mixture in the foil lined pan and let it set for 1 hour. If you’re impatient like me, just put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Cut into bite size pieces and enjoy! This is the chocolate fudge recipe my husband’s grandmother requests from me every year, and I always have no problem making her a bunch. Here is the full recipe:

look so good, I had to pin it!
I kind of want this right now.
I need to go to bed. And maybe remind myself to make some this weekend. 😉
Ha! I had a craving for it a few days ago too, but resisted. I hope you get to make some this weekend!
Grainy fudge means those commercial bakeries let the chocolate seize. It’s not supposed to be that way. Can’t wait to try your recipe. Sounds perfect and delicious!
