If you haven’t noticed, my family is…different. We tend to bond through some unique situations, like watching new Sci-Fi movies, or playing a rousing game of “I’ll hide in the dark bathroom and scare the next person that comes in.” THAT game is a scream, by the way. So, when we had the chance to celebrate the release of MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and have a little role play fun with The Avengers costumes and The Avengers themed snacks, we jumped at the chance.
You see, everyone wants to be a hero. From the smallest little 4 year old girl, to a dad of 3, we love to dress up and pretend to save the day. It’s also great when you can pretend to be the kind of hero that does not reflect your personality. Case in point: my family.
On a regular day you get the family above. So sweet, so loving.
But, on The Avengers Day, you get these guys. Avengers Assemble, indeed!
My sweet little girl decided that she wanted to turn into The Hulk. She’s all about princesses and pink, but today she had to Hulk Smash it up.
My oldest boy is so bashful and sweet in person. So, of course he chooses the playboy genius Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. He had a puff in his chest that day. I wonder why?
We have epic battles. Can you say Hulkbuster versus The Hulk?
After saving the world, you have to have a snack, right? Before performing our superhero duties, we went to Walmart to find some of our favorite Avengers themed snacks. As you can see, each Avenger decided to eat the snack they grabbed at the store. I picked out the family sized Cheez-It crackers, since I know that we all love to eat these throughout the week.
We chowed down on Cheez-It crackers and Doritos to keep our strength up. I love how the Avengers Cheez-It crackers have little nods to each Avenger on the crackers. Look at Thor’s hammer!
I think Captain America really enjoyed the Jacked 3D Jalapeño Pepper Jack Doritos, or at least it looks like he did. What’s up with the beard, though? See? He choose the hero that’s opposite of himself.
Oh, and then there’s me. I chose Thor. Moms don’t really see themselves as gods, especially this mom. But, I think this is kind of fitting, right?
The fun doesn’t stop once family role play is over. We continued to enjoy our treats, including the Avengers themed Kellogg’s fruit snacks. These were great when we had Avengers on-the-go during the week.
It was easy to find the Cheez-It crackers and Kellogg’s fruit snacks in the snack aisle of Walmart. The Avengers themed Doritos were there as well.
While you shop for your superhero snacks, be sure to download the Super Heroes Assemble app (on iTunes or Google Play) and look for displays to scan to unlock special features and fun!
OMGoodness! I just LOVE this! You all are too cute and fearless! We are definitely taking the kids to see the new Avengers movie this weekend. I can’t wait to see how they rock their super hero side:)
Thank you, Juliette!
I just love this and how the whole family is involved! And Hulk with the puff?!?! Yasss!!!
I mean seriously. You guys are amazing. I want to come be part of your family. Will you adopt me? Because you really need a Black Widow in this trio and I’m a redhead, so it just kind of fits. #client
Yeah. These are Christmas card photoworthy. Or a calendar. Haha!
