Disney is making my dreams come true, yet again! I’ll be attending an easy press event for Disney/Pixars Cars 3 at Pixar Animation Studios. We’re also going to have some raceway fun at the Sonoma Raceway in San Francisco. How exciting is this?
From March 27th to March 29th, our schedule will be jam-packed with fun, all scheduled by Disney, ABC, and Pixar. From interviews, to early sneak peeks of the upcoming film, to viewing of some new shows I know my kids will love, we’re going to have the experience of our lives.
We’ll start our fun with viewing special footage from Cars 3 (opens in theaters June 16th, 2017) at Pixar Animation Studios. There’s also been talks of being able to do some shopping before or after our sneak peek. I can’t wait to see what goodies end up coming home with me! We also get to view the short film LOU, which looks adorable.
Tuesday will be a busy and eventful day. We’ll be interviewing Cars 3 Director Brian Fee, and Producer Kevin Reher, as well as many of the animators involved with the film. But wait, there’s more! We get to take a lap around the Sonoma Raceway track in a real race car. We’ll also learn how they changes those tires quickly during the big races!
Born In China
We’ll end the day with a special screening of Disneynature’s film Born In China (open in theaters on April 21st). The Disneynature films are always a family favorite for us, so this is going to be such a treat to see.
Pixar In A Box
Wednesday is just as amazing, as we venture back to Pixar Animation Studios to learn about Pixar In A Box. We’ve covered Pixar In A Box on the blog before, so I’m looking forward to learning about all the updates and fun additions available.
The Toy Box
Next, we’ll attend a special screening of the series premiere episode of “The Toy Box,” the ultimate toy-competition series, which will provide talented designers with the chance of a lifetime: an opportunity to bring their toy concept to life with industry-giant Mattel and to the shelves of Toys ”R” Us the day after the series finale! Inventors present their toy concepts to a group of mentors that include Pixar Creative Director of Consumer Products, Jen Tan. We will then spend some time with Jen, and talk about her experience with the eight-episode series hosted by Eric Stonestreet (“Modern Family”). The Toy Box premieres on Friday, April 7th at 8/7c on ABC.
Puppy Dog Pals
Oh, we’re not done yet! We’ll also join Disney Junior for a special screening of the upcoming animated series “Puppy Dog Pals,” which stars fun-loving pug puppy brothers Bingo and Rolly, whose thrill-seeking appetites take them on adventures in their neighborhood and around the globe. Whether helping their owner, Bob, or assisting a friend in need, the pugs’ motto is that life is more exciting with your best friend by your side. Premiering April 2017, the series features two 11-minute stories that showcase Bingo and Rolly’s similarities and differences and demonstrate positive lessons about friendship, problem-solving, collaboration, creativity and adventure. Following the screening, interview Sean Coyle (executive producer) and Diane Ikemiyashiro (Disney Junior creative executive).
