30 Days of Financial Affirmations

This is day 3 of the 30 Days of Financial Affirmations challenge. If you missed any of the previous days, check out the overview page for links to the other affirmations.

If someone told you that you were kind, you’d believe them. If they said that you were smart, or nice, or a generally good person, you’d believe that too. But as soon as a person is deemed attractive, their doubt comes into play. “Well, sometimes I look alright, but I don’t think I’m attractive.” “That one time I dressed up, I did look pretty, but attractive? No. That’s just not me.”

Why do we do this? There could be a long list of reasons, but it’s mostly because we don’t think we are deserving. The same goes for our position with funds. We think “well, I have enough to get by.” We also plague ourselves with “who knows if I’ll ever get more, so I’ll make due with what’s coming to us now.”

Enough. Make due. I look alright. I’m pretty but not attractive. Do you see a pattern here? Like attracts like, and what we are attracting by downplaying our earning potential is something that is just enough, but never more than that.

Here’s the deal: we deserve more. We do. If we work hard, then we are attractive to money. If we work hard, our wallets become a virtual money magnet. The issue that we face is understanding how good-looking we are to cash-flow. Is good enough cutting it for you? I didn’t think so. So, let’s change this right now. YOU are attractive to money. That’s it. As long as you keep your good work ethic, your drive, and your positive outlook on how well you maneuver life, you are attractive to all good things including a financial windfall.

Here’s your affirmation for today:

I’m attractive, and so is my wallet.

Repeat this at least 5 times today. This is an important affirmation that may sound silly when you first say it, but will be so powerful to you by the end of the day.

Here’s your task for the day:

Clean out your wallet and/or purse. Weird thing to do, right? Not really. If we’re going to be attractive, we need to create a proper space to do so. Get rid of old store loyalty and gift cards, receipts you don’t need, and any other odd items. Streamline. Shape up your attractive “outfit.”

How have you all been doing with the challenge so far? Let me know in the comments below.

Getting ready to put that dollar on my fridge. My purse, itself, is already streamlined but that card holder–with all my loyalty cards could definitely use some sprucing up. Don’t need them in there, if I don’t plan on shopping any time soon. 😀
