Color Block your Winter Dress

Sharing is caring!

When the weather turns cooler, there’s an opportunity to rock a dress with your best pair of boots. While any dress will do, even those chiffon maxi dresses, I do love the look of a frock that takes advantage of the color block trend. While we can easily participate in color blocking by pairing a jewel-toned top with a bright pant and unique shoe, I love a dress that can give me a “one stop shop” and create and instant outfit. It’s also a bonus if they don’t break the bank. Each of these dresses are under 35 dollars and can be worn through the fall, winter, and even next spring.
Orange White Navy color block dress
I love this orange, white and navy color block dress for Fall. It may have something to do with the Fall holidays, but I think it’s mostly because of how flattering the panels are. I can see this dress paired with dark brown riding boots, tights with booties, or even an elegant black pump.

Apricot white navy zipper dress

This apricot, white and navy sleeveless zipper dress has the perfect length. Hitting right below the knee, it’s meant to be paired with a mary jane heel. Add in a moto leather jacket and you have a great date night outfit. Because of the muted tones in the dress, you could make this even more edgy by wearing a bright or textured pair of tights.

I love that this green sleeveless plaid belted dress not only follow the color block scheme, but it places a black and white pattern on top. With the pattern placed on top, you can keep things simple by adding a dainty necklace or no necklace at all. Oh, and you get a belt with it! You have to love included accessories in an outfit.

Blue V neck button embellished dress

The detail of this blue V neck button embellished dress makes it my favorite one of the collection. It gives off a 1960s flight attendant vibe, but in a great way. I love the high waist and the button accent. The blue panels on the side create a beautiful shape to enhance any woman’s figure. The V neck makes is a perfect candidate for a statement bib necklace. I can see a red pump paired with this to give it a nautical feel.

Which of these color block dresses is your favorite?

They’re all so pretty that it’s hard to pick a favorite! But I think I like #2 the best. I love dresses with fitted tops and flowing skirts. My hips don’t like fitted skirts very well 😉
