Moms don’t get a day off. When your a Mom that writes online, you really don’t get an official day off. Well, we at least don’t get the kind of day off that most are used to. For us, a day off includes trips to the grocery store, doctors appointments, bank visits, and more. On these days, I’m known to finally slip out of my yoga pants and dress for the occasion. A presentable outfit is picked, comfortable yet chic shoes are placed by the door, and my simple makeup routine is used. Thanks to neutrogena and Target, I’m always able to create a presentable #AllDayLook routine through a few beauty tips that I’ve learned over the years as a busy mom.
Always Moisturize
This is the biggest step for me personally. When I know that I’ll be running around all day, I make sure that I use the best moisturizer I can find. Neutrogena’s oil free moisture has been a mainstay on my vanity for years. It’s a spring and summer staple for me, since me skin seems to turn into an oily mess during those seasons. I also use it throughout my pregnancies for the same reason. The oily face struggle is real during my gestation time. Here’s another secret: I actually skip foundation on my busy day off. I found that if I use a quality moisturizer, and another great Neutrogena item that I’ll list later, my skin stays oil free and looks clear without it. If I’m due to stay inside for a day off, then I’ll add a skin boosting foundation, like Neutrogena’s Nourishing Long Wear Liquid Makeup.
Work on The Eyes
I’m a mascara and eyeliner junkie. When I leave the house, I make sure to have either or both of these on my face. Enhancing the eyes is one of the easiest ways you can look polished without much effort. I’ve added Neutrogena’s healthy volume mascara and nourishing eyeliner to my routine. I also use the chocolate brown eyeliner to fill in my brows a bit, which helps to define the shape of my eyes.
Add Some Color
Moms tend to forget that it’s OK for us to play with a bit of color. We can do it on our nails, eyes, or our lips. The MoistureSmooth Color Sticks are my new loves. Since I have larger lips, I tend to be a bit hesitant about lipsticks, but these color sticks provide just enough pigment to make a statement but look demure. I mix two colors together: rich raisin on most of my lips and fresh papaya as a highlight on my cupid’s bow and in the middle of my bottom lip. Target is currently offering a discount on Neutrogena cosmetics on their cartwheel app, so these color sticks could be yours for 20% off!
Block the Shine
The Shine Control Powder from Neutrogena is the truth. The truth, y’all! With all of the running around you will do on your day off, you need to be able to keep the shine down on your face. I love this powder because I usually only have to use it once. It also comes in a simple, slim compact, so you can carry it with you throughout the day for touch-ups, if need be. I love that I can use this and still keep my look natural and easy.

I am playing around with concealer. I have blemishes that I don’t like so I’m trying to find a concealer that blends in and I can wear it along over some primer.
Concealer is a great beauty must-have. Once you find the right one, you can wear it daily with nothing else.
