Have you ever tried an ice cream and thought “this is too good to be real.” Years ago, during a trip to Cincinnati with my husband, I tried Graeter’s Ice Cream for the first time. Since then, I’ve thought about it every summer. I don’t know why; there are so many other options for ice cream and custard here in NJ. But, I couldn’t stop thinking about this Ohio-made Ice Cream. Graeter’s got me.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when the Greater’s team emailed me and asked if I would like some samples of their delicious French Pot delicacy. They also said that they would love if I would give away some of their ice cream to a reader of 4 Hats and Frugal, in celebration of National Ice Cream Day (today!) and National Ice Cream Month. I couldn’t type my reply fast enough. It was like the universe said “ok, here’s that ice cream you’ve been thinking about for years. Now eat it and share.” That universe sure knows what’s up.
Graeter’s Ice Cream is a nationally recognized and awarded ice cream brand (Named Top 5 in the Country by the Food Network!) that was founded over 146 years ago in Cincinnati, OH. The fourth-generation family owned and operated company has perfected the art of using the French Pot, a traditional, small batch artisanal process of making ice cream. Known for their indulgent, premium flavors and ingredients, they’re also widely recognized for their gargantuan gourmet chocolate chips.
