Life as a mom is a constant juggle. Juggling time with kids, time alone, and time to do all the other things in life. When you add in a big move for your family, that juggle gets a little more interesting. While I’ve done babywearing in some interesting places (like on a prank television show), lately we’ve been using the heck out of our Ergo Baby carrier during our packing spurts.

Here’s the thing about babies and toddlers: they don’t care about packing. As a matter of fact, they love to unpack the things you’ve carefully packed away for hours. It’s hilarious. After the 15th time of Baby Frugal unpacking boxes, I knew I need to find a solution. He’s not a fan of time in the playpen, since he wants to be in the mix. So, I had a lightbulb moment: wear your baby!

He’s been strapped to my back during our intense packing sessions. At first I thought this was a crazy idea. Carrying a baby on my back, while lifting boxes in the front? Ridiculous. Actually, it was genius.

He was so happy to be part of it all, and it reminded me that my 2 year old still loves his Ergo Baby carrier. He loves to be with mama, no matter what we’re doing. And because the Ergo Baby carrier is so comfortable for him and me, we were able to pack together for a good while. Progress!

I’d love to know: did you, or do you, baby wear your kiddos? Where was the coolest or craziest place you’ve worn your baby?
