It’s finally time! The award-winning Disney Pixar’s Coco is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD and On Demand! We absolutely love this heartfelt movie about family, dreams, and never giving up. While watching the film, we couldn’t help but think fondly of our own “Coco,” my husbands grandmother. We lost her a few years ago, but we think (and talk) about her daily. Our interview with Anthony Gonzalez a few weeks ago was a pleasure, so we’ve been highly anticipating the release of Coco on Blu-Ray.
If you haven’t seen Coco yet, here’s a quick description of this phenomenal film:
Miguel Rivera (Anthony Gonzalez) is a 12-year-old boy in Mexico whose greatest desire in life is to be a musician like his idol, the mid-century legend Ernesto de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt). There’s only one problem: Miguel’s great-great-grandmother was abandoned by her musician husband, and the Rivera family has enforced an iron-clad policy against music ever since. Instead, each generation of Riveras has gone into the family business of making shoes. Throughout this film, we go on a journey with Miguel, and watch him learn more about his family, his passions, and himself.
Our family has been really excited to watch the bonus features included in the Blu-Ray and digital, because we’ve fallen so much in love with the film that we wanted to experience more.
