Are these ALDI snow boots all they are hyped up to be? I did my research about these boots, after falling in love with the booties at ALDI.
The Serra winter boots at ALDI have been a topic of ALDI nerds since last year, and this year’s no different.
They are very similar to the duck boots we know and love.
If you’re an 80s baby, you definitely remember this style of boot. If you’re like me, you’re just as shocked to see their comeback over the past few years.
ALDI is making them very accessible with a 24.99 price tag, and they come in different color ways. The blue-toed duck boots seem to be the most popular.
The Problem with Duck Boots
Here’s the thing. Whether it’s Sorrel, LL Bean or ALDI, duck boots just don’t keep your feet warm. The low price point of these ALDI winter boots are pretty good for a pair that will only help in slushy snow.
If you live in the Midwest, or anywhere it gets below 32 degrees in the winter, these cheap duck boots aren’t for you.
I had them on for about 30 minutes after our first snowfall here in Ohio, and I had to book it back in the house.
How To Wear ALDI Snow Boots
I won’t say you should completely skip these ALDI boots. They are great as a fall wardrobe staple, and you can still wear them wisely.
If you want to rock these boots, be sure to wear thick socks with them. The rubber bottoms aren’t very thick, which makes them great for fall but not winter.
The best part is ALDI sells some pretty thick (and cheap) socks, so grab a pair when you grab these boots in your size.
When it comes to winter duck boots, the price point for these is actually pretty reasonable. Again, pair them with thick socks and you’re good to go.
