9 Inspiring Bible Verses For Moms

Sharing is caring!

We are the glue that keeps it all together. Here are Bible verses for moms to remind us how important we are to our family, and the Almighty.

There are so many inspirational Bible verses for moms!

When we’re feeling frazzled or overwhelmed, these are the verses that remind us how important we are to our families and the Almighty.

After reading this post, be sure to check out our list of Bible verses for anxiety. We’ve gotten great feedback from that list, as well.

To start, let’s remember that our children are a true gift. Those gifts wouldn’t be here without our efforts as their mother.

Psalms 127:3

Lo, children are a heritage of the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

The Need For Patience

One thing all moms know… never pray for patience! It’s an ongoing joke between moms that praying for patience never works.

Instead we have to remember grace and love — towards our kids and ourselves.

I Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV

Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not jealous; is not proud; is not conceited; does not act foolishly; is not selfish; is not easily provoked to anger; keeps no record of wrongs; takes no pleasure in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth; love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

One of these days, you will feel appreciated. If today is not that day, remember Proverbs 31:2. Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her.

Sometimes our kids don’t say thank you. Sometimes our husbands complain that the house isn’t clean enough. Sometimes, though, they realize you are the glue that holds everything together.

A Mother’s Strength

As moms, our strength can be tested to its very limits. Remember, God never gives us more than we can handle.

Psalms 18:2

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Psalms 27:1

…The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

A personal favorite of mine reminds me that nobody is perfect. So, even when I get upset, or I yell, or I am short-tempered, I’m only human – and that is okay.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Bible Verses For Moms About Love and Faith

Psalms 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Matthew 17:20

Jesus said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matthew 9:22

Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.
