With the temperature hitting very close to zero all around the country, now is a great time to start bring out those sweater dresses. I’m a huge fan of great sweater dresses. They’re stylish, comfortable and keep you warm while looking put together. I have a ton of them, but the one below is my favorite for fall and winter.
The stripes and colors make this sweater dress a contender for Thanksgiving dinner. I can load up on the feast and not have to worry about my “food baby” showing.
I love pairing it with a beanie (and my new wig) to make it very boho chic and fun.
A pair of brown boots with a buckle detail round out the outfit. I’ve had these forever and they are easy to walk in and are actually very warm. To keep up the fun theme of the outfit, I put on some teal ribbed tights. Yet another layer to keep me warm when the temperature hits freezing level on Thursday!
Here are a few sweater dresses that I found around the internet this past weekend. All are under 25 dollars and when it comes to sweater dresses, you can’t get any more cool and fun.
Long Turtleneck slim sweater dress – 23.00
I think this is the classic idea of what sweater dresses should look like. It’s thick, with a turtleneck top and falls down to your calves. This would be very cute with a pair of brown knee high boots.
Leather long sleeve sweater dress – 13.00
Now when it comes to sweater dresses, this one is too cool. With faux leather sleeves, this shift dress gives a great twist on the usual sweater dresses. I love the length of this dress, as well. It would pair perfectly with a bright tight or patterned pantyhose.
Puff sleeves leather panel sweater dress 15.00
The paneling on this dress makes it a must-have for most body types. With the price being only 15 bucks, all of us can give it a try and see if it will become one of our favorite sweater dresses this winter. I love the long sleeves and the slight puffy shoulder. This would be very chic for a holiday party.
Labworks short sleeved sweater dress – 24.00
Yet another sweater dress with paneling, this one is short sleeved, with makes it a good choice if you plan in wearing a blazer over it. Target rarely disappoints when it comes to affordable fashion.
Long sleeve scoop neck sweater dress – 24.00
I love how basically elegant this sweater dress is. The A line and stripes makes it a dress that most can wear. I love accentuation of the waist; this makes pairing it with a cool belt very easy. I’d pair this with a gold or light brown belt and some matching booties.
Are you a fan of sweater dresses? Which one of these would fit perfectly in your wardrobe right now?

I’d love to find a sweater dress that would work for me and my shape. These are so pretty, and you look gorgeous.
In the meantime I buy them for my daughter. 😉 Living/dressing vicariously and all!
I’m a huge fan of swather dresses, mostly because I can wear my leggings and knee boots. The dresses you posted about area really pretty. And I love your boots.
Oh my gosh I LOVE that outfit Amiyrah!
You always look so stylish! I love sweater dresses – because I can wear tights or leggings underneath. I tend to go for color blocking styles – to help accentuate my curves and maybe hide a little too!
You look amazing! I love sweater dresses. The striped long sleeve scoop neck dress is calling my name! What a great price too.
Love the colors! Plus the sweater dress just looks so comfy 🙂
I’ve never tried a sweater dress before; but yours looks absolutely fantastic! I love it’s look and colors and it looks so warm too!
I wore sweater dresses years ago. I was a size 3 then. Not sure if I am up to it again, but you look adorable in yours! Thanks for those options, the pricing really says try me!
I stick to A-Line sweater dress shapes to fit my curves. You’re right this weather is perfect for sweater dresses!
